Data protection:
The terms used below refer to definitions from Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.
Requirement, purpose, and legal basis for collecting data
In the course of its business, Alchimie Avocats is required to collect and process data relating to individuals, including personal data, for the purposes of processing or monitoring files, managing client and prospective client relations, invoicing, and collection, or setting fees.
Data may need to be processed for the purpose of the performance of a contract, a legitimate interest (e.g., for marketing purposes) and for the purpose of compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, such as the prevention of money laundering and the fight against corruption, or invoicing or accounting.
The data collected are processed in Alchimie Avocats’ file management and monitoring software.
Data controller and data recipient
The data controller is Alchimie Avocats, a limited liability professional company (SELARL) registered with the Paris Companies Register under no. 435406749 (trade sector code: 6910Z/Legal activities) with registered office at 17 rue Margueritte - 75017 Paris, represented by its legal representatives, whose address for service in this capacity is the abovementioned registered office.

The data collected are intended exclusively for Alchimie Avocats and its authorised personnel (including its employees, administrative staff, and trainees), in accordance with confidentiality requirements, and are not transmitted to any commercial or advertising entity.
Time limit for data retention
Data are kept only for the time necessary for the operations for which they were collected or to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, and in accordance with the applicable rules on statutory or professional limitation periods.
Hosting and transfer of data
Data are hosted in France and are not transferred outside the European Union.
Data subjects’ rights
For legitimate reasons, any individual may object to the processing of data concerning them. However, the user’s attention is drawn to the fact that not providing all relevant information, or requesting the withdrawal of information previously communicated, may prevent Alchimie Avocats from processing the request or delay such processing.
In accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (known as the “GDPR”) and Law n°78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, files and freedoms (the French Data Protection Act), individuals have the right to access, limit, rectify, restrict or erase personal data concerning them. They also have the right to data portability, where applicable. They may also instruct Alchimie Avocats as to whether or not to communicate their personal data after their death.
The abovementioned rights may be exercised by sending an email to the following address: paris@alchimie-avocats.com, together with a copy of the data subject’s identity document wishing to exercise these rights.
In the event of a dispute, the matter may be referred to the French Data Protection Agency (the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés, or “CNIL”).
